ABOUT DEE
Winning radio rap contests landed Dee "lilD" Porter a radio co-host gig in her hometown of Shreveport, LA. The next 10 years took lilD all over the midwest, where she maintained top ratings on various radio stations.
In 2021, Dallas' leading hip-hop station, K104, recruited lilD for their midday position. Other than consistently producing top ratings, Porter hosts events, creates content and social media strategies for various businesses, and co-writes and edits books.
lilD recently released her first book, Route 2: My Choice to Struggle to Succeed, covering the three-month period that she chose to be homeless to keep her radio job in Ohio. Nationally syndicated radio host and media star Charlamagne Tha God penned the foreword. She's humble, but understands her position; however, lilD's star shines brightest when she's using it to illuminate those around her.
"Everything you put inside your body matters.”
In 2021, I lost 3 people I love, and my job, within 2 weeks. With nothing but time to focus on conquering my anxiety and depression, I began going for daily walks. By the year's end, I had lost 45 pounds and run a half marathon. People ask me what I did to lose weight, but I just poured love into myself; my physical appearance is a reflection of my current mental health status. My "Love Lessons" are a collection of self-care flash cards that include the techniques I applied to love myself to better health. I hope they can help you as well. Click here for yours.
